Answers: i use bio-oil on it & it got lighter. but it's taking too long.

I have found that vitamin E, aka- alpha tocopherol it is an antioxidant needed to regenerate the skin and improve skin elasticity by promoting the growth of cells to replace scars, works great for scars, stretchmarks, and even on acne scars. you can find it at any local drug store or even some grocery stores. pure vitamin E oil is kinda thick and clear and you simply rub it onto the scar for about 5 minutes a day. unless your scar is so bad your willling to have surgery to get rid of it i advice this remedy. its much much cheaper however it takes quite a while to really work. After 3 weeks of constant use you should be able to see a difference. another thing you can do is mix aloe vera with it. aloe vera is great for the skin. you can also buy this almost anywhere too. if you use pure aloe vera from a plant its good too, but it will be very thick so just add olive oil (great for hair and skin) and it should become alot smoother to apply.

I HAV THE SAME THING! i thiink we should go 2 cvs and ask 4 a CREAM THAT GETS RID OF SCARS!

how long have you been using it? i use silicone sheeting and i have to use it for 5 months, so i'm just gonna wear it until then. it helped get rid of my other scar in about 4 weeks, so maybe you could use neosporin silicone sheetings.
p.s. can you email me where you go the bio-oil? i am hoping to buy it one day.

Mederma is an over-the-counter cream to put on it. It works pretty good. It lightened up a scar I have on my arm from a deep dog scratch. It's not completely gone, but I did not use the cream faithfully either. Maybe if I had it would be gone by now.

There are lasers at dermatologists that can help remove scars. Call and make an appointment and the dr. can help you determine the most appropriate action.
