My husband and I both have food poisoning. When will this go away?!
Question: We've been throwing up and having diarreah for 18 hours now. We're throwing up like every 10 min. There is nothing left in our stomachs so we're just throwing up stomach acid and water that we drink. When will this end?
Oh and we know we got it from eating Chevy's Tex Mex (restaurant) yesterday b/c it was the only thing we both ate the whole day. Can we get this restaurant in trouble?

A confirmed foodborne illness is when more than one person ate the same food at the same time and the fecal culture identifies the same causative microorganism in both of these people, which means you'll have to go the doctor if you want to get the restaurant in trouble. Please mention to your doctor and the local health department if you have any doggie-bags/ left-overs. That can be tested too. Keep in mind you and your spouse could have been sick for many days and just started getting the GI symptoms yesterday. 97% of all food "posionings" occur at home.
Most are all over in 24-72 hours. Absolutely seek help if you have blood-tinged vomit or diarrhea and if you feel dehydrated.
Anything lasting over 72 hours may need antibiotic treatment, particularly if you ate improperly reheated rice, soups, or sauces.
Beware of buffets, ALWAYS.

It will go away soon. Also you probably shouldn't eat what you had there. My friend had food poisoning. Feel better!
Unless you have proof you have food poisoning, how could you sue. You could be sick for a 1000 other reasons.
Do you have red lines down you arms? If not, it is most likely not food poisoning. Are you in the hospital? If not, then it is most likely not food poisoning. If you havd food poisoning, you would most likely be in the hospital or dead.
Within 24 hours food poisoning has either killed you or been treated with drugs.
99.935% of the time people claim to have food poisoning, it is not that.
I had this happen to me. You must consult a physician! You can get a shot that will prevent you from having nausea. You also have to take medication. Remember- antibiotics kill off intestinal bacteria needed for proper functioning of the stomach- there are liquid remedies that you can take for that problem for your stomach to recover. With proper care and medication you should be fine in 3 days. Make sure also to eat stomach-friendly foods for the time being. Avoid spices.
Well the food poisoning will probably go away like in about 1 days no more than 3 days for sure because like last week i had food poisoning and it went away like in 1 day!
