Strange rough spot on my thigh? Syphilis?!

Question: Recently I've noticed a flat spot on my thigh, skin-coloured and rough in the centre (about 4mm in diameter) with a red thin line around it. I've looked up what it could be, and the most likely thing seems to be the primary chancre of syphillis, but I've never had unprotected sex and have a long-term boyfriend (and haven't slept with anyone else since being with him, and neither has he).
Could it still be syphilis?

Unlikely. The primary chancre of syphilis causes a painless skin ulcer (looks more like crater in the skin). What you are describing sound more like a localized rash. Rashes can also occur in second stage syphilis, but this is also relatively uncommon.

Alas, there are many possibilities. So here are some topics with images that you can look at:

You can also evaluate a localized rash at:

it could be, go see a doctor and find out!
You will never know if your bf has slept with other girls or not!! Sweet you trust him though.
Could also be something like psoriasis...look it up

Good luck

best thing to do is go find out u say u neaver had unprotected sex so mabey its nothing ask ur boyfriend about his past or if he was ever got tested but to be safe go get tested!
