Whats With All The Mucus Coming out?!

Question: For a week, I had a fever of 99-102. After I went better, I still had cough and stuffy nose. I diddnt know what it was. I was then coughing up and blowing out so much mucus. When I went in the shower, It was unbelievable how much I coughed up and blowed out.
Theres so much mucus and I feel it when I inhale. What should I do?
Planning a doctor check this thursday but Is there any sort of way to treat it before then?

You have had the flu. Take sudafed to slow your production of mucus.
