How can you help a family grieving?!


Question: a family member is very sick and not looking good how can you help a grieving family without sounding like a councillor or that you pity them she is dieing of breast cancer and she has a 17 year old child and a husband they are both sad.

The best way that you can help them is to be there for them. You really don't have to say anything. Just offer your shoulder and an ear for them. You could also cook some meals and take them over to them. That would help out a lot. They will be grieving, but they will also need some memories when their family member is gone. You could always get some pictures together and make a DVD for them to watch. All of the happy pictures will make them smile.

unfortunatly there isn't a whole lot you can do. Just make sure they know that you are there for them and offer them your help whenever. Sorry to hear that by the way :(

Visit them. Be friendly and warm. If you are the one they want to vent to, you will know. Otherwise, it won't be you they want to talk to.
