Question: Would you serioulsy date someone who has genital herpes?

No, not knowingly anyways and especially if that someone had dumped me for another and then caught an STD. I'd tell that cheater "No thanks, see ya, don't let the door hit you on the way out." There's too many fishes in the sea for me to settle for an infected cheater.

its not their fault, use a condom

Yeah.

I have genital herpes and there are PLENTY of men who are prepared to date someone with herpes. I've told four, and none were in the slightest bit bothered. I and my boyfriend don't use protection - we've been together a long time and it simply isn't an issue for him.

My sister has genital herpes and is happily married with three kids.

The majority of men are prefectly ok with it. After all, it IS just cold sores on the genitals - and in my case, since I have hsv-1, a whole lot less infectious than cold sores. 8 out of 10 of us have herpes hsv-1, and 25% of us have hsv-2. It isn't unusual.

Erm Why Not? It's Not The End Of The World A Sore Rash Now And Then Or Maybe Even Once I Have It I Have Only Had One OutBreak Ever?

Before I did... I would get educated on the subject matter. Education is the best Prevention/Cure. I highly recommend you check out the "Herpesmiracle" website. It has alot of good information. ANd beats the hell out of Valtrex.

Well I have genital herpes and I havnt dated for a year, its a lot easier on women than on men. Men are more understanding of things like this than woman are, sorry girls, but its the truth. So in all reality, if you are a man with genital herpes, good luck finding someone to accept you, if you're a girl you should have no problem.

I don't think so. Valtrex is like $200 a month so the person might not buy it, and even if they did, how would you trust them to take it? People with herpes say that they can tell when they are about to get an outbreak, but what if they didn't tell you because they wanted to have sex really bad?
