My state of health is in great part related to the weather. I'm very sensitive to weather changes. When there are drastic changes in weather my health is affected for the worse or the better and when it's for the worse it takes me several days to settle down.

Health related to the weather was a very important part in ancient types of medicine such as the Ayurveda of India, Arab or Chinese medicine as well as ancient Greek Medicine and people ate, dressed, lead their lives or took remedies and herbs according to weather conditions, while today in the age of drugs and pills popping people have lost contact or understanding with this important aspect of health maintenance.

Your condition is probably related to the weather and to the fact that you are spending too much time at the computer without taking a breaks and most probably sitting in a wrong posture for too long. Take a rest and when you are at the computer straighten your back and neck now and then or get up and do something else.

Anyway if your problem persists have a x ray of your neck because it could be a warning sign of the start of cervical spondylosis, that is a form of arthritis of the neck. Usually this condition gives migraines and it's often aggravated by weather conditions or prolonged wrong posture.

I hope that you get better soon.

when it is really windy, full on. wind I get really anxious, everything banging it feels sometimes like there is a change in the air.

Nope not me. It will only effect me if im outside in the rain with no warm clothes. But emotionally, it doesn't effect me at all.

Bad weather hurts! Oh dear, get well soon! You will be missed...

well i think the reason you get migranes is because your breathing in polluted air during storms or rain because the clouds(rain or snow) are blocking the pollution from escaping and so the air during a storm is heavily polluted after its very clean thou the human body is affected by all kinds of things you would not believe or suspect my mood is heavily affected by the weather for example well hope this helped

im 20 and i got bad knees and back, and whenever its gonna rain or it is cold out they flare up and hurt like a *****

Yeah when it rains I pass out it's kind of wierd, especially during really bad tornado weater and tropical downpours. and the worst wind and thunderstorms I pass out and sleep right through it.

Poor you at mercy to the elements eh, I can well believe the misery it causes. I get a dull pain or ache in my shoulder almost like toothache before adverse cold weather. Paracetamol doesn't seem to have any effect and that's all the meds I will ever take these days. The snow yesterday made things worse, I was up all night because I couldn't relax. What we need is a little sun.

It doesn't really effect my health. But it does emotionally, which probably indirectly effects my health.

I have the exact same problem. I've suffered with severe migraines for about 5 years now. Lately I've noticed whenever the barometer changes, I'm out of school for 2 or 3 days with a horrible migraine. It's like, I don't even know that the weather changed until I go out to the car to go to the doctor's. Or I can go downstairs and tell my mom the weather is going to do something funky just because of what kind of headache/migraine I'm getting and how bad.
Not only that, I get ear and sinus infections so easy the doctors think I'm weird. I get new infections while I'm on antibiotics for an old infection. And those trigger migraines on top of all the weather, food, lights, noise, and stress already.
I've been sick for the past week because of weird weather and bad sinuses. Uhg.
I totally feel your pain.

The weather has a dramatic effect o everyone but not very noticeable on some, as for me severe, and I have noticed low pressure is responsible for most my problems. when the various aches start I check the barometer, and think, "here we go again, I think someone should design a small room where a slight pressure increase could be maintained

No Tinkz. Do get well again soon.

yes, when its cold i ache
dark dismal for a long time im depressed. so it does affect me yes.
you may need a eye test, if your computer is giving you headaches so get one done you may need glasses.

Hey chick have you ever had an MRI or cat scan or been to see an ophthalmologist? The reason I ask is because I have the same problems but I have been diagnosed with a brain tumor and with that you can always tell a day or two before the weather actually changes that it is going to change because you get real sick with headaches and stuff. So you might want to dig a little deeper if you get my hint. Some people I know with the same problem have what you call pseudo tumor cerebri (PTC) but both of these conditions cause you to loose your sight. (go blind) that I am blind. So please if you are having major problems get to a doctor and if they tell you are fine go to another and keep pushing. Let me know if I can help and I will any way possible. www.quarlesmelissa@yahoo.com

Hi Tinkz, Sometimes when it pours down with rain, it can make me more depressed and lonely. Take care my dear friend, (HUGS) xx

Yes it does, just like when its a rainy day my left knee hurts so bad i cant stand it, it is different with everybody

Hi there~
So sorry you are having such bad migranes. They can have such a negative effect on our lives; taking us out of the game, so to speak.
I have Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis. On days when there is a change in the weather, a new front coming through, I feel my worst. I used to hear my grandparents say it was going to rain or snow because they could feel it in their bones. I thought it was just an old wives tale until I was diagnosed. After that I began to notice that my worst days coincided with the changes in the weather particularly if there was falling weather i.e. rain or snow. My hubby bought me a small home weather station and I have since noticed that changes in the barometric pressure, especially a very low pressure, seems to bring on the most pain in the joints and also the worst headaches. Now I have no scientific proof for this, but I have made myself a journal and made notations of the weather on good or bad days and it is very consistent.
By the way, I love your Avatar :)
I hope this helps. Gentle hugs and healing thoughts ~ Mayr

yes....i get this too....

im affected...:{

Absolutely. I think it has more to do with the barometric pressure than on rain or snowfall. I don't get migraines, but I get terrible sinus headaches on the right side behind my eye. Try taking a decongestant like Sudafed with some Motrin or Ibuprofen. Hope you feel better.
