What is the best way to get rid of hard skin on the feet?!

Question: I have started walking alot, at least 5 miles every day but now the bottoms of my feet are very hard and can be painful. I know that soaking your feet is good but not always practical so I wondered if anyone knows of a good preparation I could try. Thankyou.

This is guaranteed, soak your feet, use a pumice stone on them, cover heels in e45 cream, wrap in cling film, pull a pair of socks on and wear them to bed. this really does work in the morning your feet are like babies

Lemon juice helps and using pumice.

pumise stone

Whilst taking a bath or soaking your feat use a pumice stone,
any chemist shop stock them.

Walking barefoot may keep the calluses from growing too thick, by wearing them down.

Note that you have calluses because you walk so much. It's a natural adaptation, but it doesn't work right with shoes to keep them from being worn back down.

You can try cosmetic products or recommendations or whatever. But the best thing would most likely be to walk barefoot instead, as this will wear down the callus, and also look at your foot's "posture" so to speak as you walk - if the sole of your foot hardly flexes, you're doing it wrong.

Also, if you simply cannot walk barefoot - put some sandpaper on the inside of your sock. It will disintegrate quickly, and need replaced daily, but better than nothing.

Bottom line: Do what works, and the main idea is to wear the callus down.

The pumice stone will remove surface dry skin. I've never tried the suggestion of lemon juice. The product I found that works best is Gold Bond Foot Cream. For best results, pumice first, then soak your feet and immediately after apply the cream.

soak your feet till the skin is soft then use a pumice stone, or use one of the razor type things you can get from the chemist especially for feet.

Go for a nice long walk on a sandy beach, barefoot.
