It is considered secondhand when it's on her clothes. I don't know if you have heard of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Babies are at a higher risk from dying from it even if mom smokes outside because they can get the carbon monoxide and chemicals right off of moms clothes. As far as the throat soreness, smoke is a irritant and it could be making you have allergies. As far as her talking to you, other than the bad breath, it's not going to hurt you. It must be rough to have to deal with that. :o( Hang in there.

it can be bad sometimes
if it bothers u talk to her about it

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.... Let me tell you I used to babysit for a lady that did not want her kids outside near dirt or playgrounds.. her kids were always sick..They never got used to anything and I was constantly taking a sample of their poo to the Dr... I felt so bad for these clean and neat kids...
My babys Dr. when he was very young instructed me to get rid of all of his stuffed animals...Becasue of dust mites and he did have some allergys.. I did all 40 of them. Never bought more... we dusted we used a mist thingy and had him on a breathing treatment..Could not have him near animals or anything... Finally when he was old enough to dust and clean for him self he refused...It seemed he was getting better.. He begged for a puppy so we finally gave in ...As it turned out because he was not used to these different hairs and skin falling out of dogs and pets he had a rough 6 months but we just let him go and he would get treated... You know he got used to all of this dander and he is fine today... Nothing is having a bad affect on him now not dust not dogs not even birds (although we do not have one) but when he goes to visit he is fine now when returning to home...His allergy to smoke has also been overcome.. I am not sure why or weather it will work for everyone/ but given a chance he can now run around this world with out any reaction to anything..Amazing huh.

Express to her your concern and what happens when you smell smoke , sometimes it's just a matter of communicating what you feel that another person will stop and listen and will say " Hey I didn't know that ", sometimes they will even blame you for not telling them what you feel so now it's your fault.
