No flees and moisturized skin....what gives?!
Question: My puppy scratches non-stop. She does not have flees and although I used to give her a bath every week (I can't stand dog stink) with baby shampoo, I stopped because I heard it can give her dry skin even though it had moisturizer in it. I haven't bathed her in over a month and she still scratches uncontrollably. Any suggestions?

My dog had the same problem, and it wasn't fleas either. Finally we realized that she had dandruff! The dead skin cells were making her itch like mad, and her shedding made it even worse, since loose hair is very itchy as well.
I've noticed that it helps if you give your dog a VERY throurough grooming every week, more as needed. They love it, and it helps with the itching quite a bit.
If that doesn't work, try talking to your local vet. They would know.
