I've not used it on acne spots- but I have used it with my own kids to treat the rare cuts. Mederma works well to reduce the appearance of scars, that's what dermatolgists developed it for. It is not an eraser, though- if that's what you had in mind. It helps to reduce the redness, and to smooth the skin in the area. If these are new spots, it will work better than if they are really old spots- and better still if you are still healing from them. It will take a couple months of daily applications to see the most benefit- so don't go looking for marvelous improvement in the next week or so. It doesn't work like that. If you still have spots left after two months, then what you see is the best that can be done. At that point, you are in the dermatologist's territory for derm abrasion or laser treatment, possibly- depending on what the scars actually look like.

scars dont really go away, otherwise they wouldnt be scars
there are products that make it seem less noticeable, but
the scars never REALLY go away.

i looked up something called bio oil. you should try look that up and find some info on it.. supposidly, it takes away your scarring a little but its 50.00 for a bottle.

other then that,

micro dermabrasion
chemical peels
laser
all could work
ask a cosmetic surgeon

i have a few on my face.

dont pick your acne and you wont scar. just stop touching your face. thats it. ill do the same.

No it didn't work for my acne scars. I went to the spa and had a facial the other day.... I was told by the esthetician to purchase a vitamin C oil or a Zinc Serum. This would have to be applied to the scarred area twice a day...and it is safe to sleep in. I looked at the website that she gave me and I plan on ordering this week.

It's kind of pricy but she really recommended it for the scars. It should reduce the appearance in about 2-3 months.
