Does anyone have a certain remedy to rid their kids of headlice?!

Question: my daughter goes to creche and she seems to get headlice at least once a month.
the teachers can only take the word of parents saying that they have treated their childs hair so who knows whether they have or have not?
anyone got any remedy that will rid my daughter of headlice.

First, WHat is creche? Never heard of it.
Second, Personally, depending what the place is, I would probably NOT send her to that place and have to deal with the lice problem every week or month. I work with this lady that says that their is this spray that you buy OTC, you spray it into hair and it sort of repels lice. A short hair cut could help prevent her from getting it. Also, I do not know how much info. you know about Lice. Lice LIKE clean heads. They crawl and NOT jump. The bug will be transferred from head to head by wearing caps of people infested, standing in line too close with the person infested with bugs, the bugs will crawl to the non-infected person, Do Not Use other peoplescombs, brushes, and if you get it you must disinfect the person's head, including your whole house. Once the lice shampoo kills the bug and nits, the nits will turn (I think white) on the hair shaft and they must be combed out. It is a big expensive process if you rid of the Lice in the correct way, That is why most people will say they treated the Lice and not acutally do it because it is long process that is not cheap.

Go to your local pharmacy. Ask for their lice treatment. All their brands work if you follow their directions. If your children attend an area where lice are common, they will probably get them again, so keep checking their scalp for both lice and their eggs (nits). There is no real effective prevention other than avoiding high probability areas where lice are carried by others.
