Can HPV cause blisters?!

Question: I went to the doctor because I had bumps around my anus. He diagnosed it as HPV. Not to mention before I went in I had a bump filled with puss on my arm that I have no clue where it came from. I bust it and then it went away. Now I notice there's one on my leg. Can HPV cause blisters? Or is this herpes? I don't have any blisters near my genital area at all. Only warts around my anus that wont bust.

HPV generally does not affect other body parts other than the genital region. The warts are "site specific." This means genital warts will not spread to other parts of the body, such as the hands (just as warts from the hands will not spread to the genital area). Warts dont "bust." they are just masses of non-fluid filled cells that grow together.

Some HPV strains cause warts, but ALL strains do not cause blisters.

The herpes virus is known to cause cold sores, or fever blisters, but I have never heard of these blisters appearing anywhere other than around the mouth or the genital region with herpes.

Try researching syphilis, or staphylococcus aureus.

It sounds like MRSA to me. Might wanna get a culture on the next one, but go to the dr. before you burst it.

anal warts was my first diagnosis, but then i read about puss, now i'm no fancy big city doctor.....but that sounds nasty
could these be boils?
or do you shave your bum? and arms, legs? now i'm thinkin yeah, that these 'bumps' could be ingrown hairs :D

i think u may have hpv and hsv (herpes symplex). hsv is the one that causes blisters or open sores. could also be hemeroids (on your anus), boils, pimples, ingrown hairs, or papules.
