Proactive made my face red like a sunburn and peel!!!!!!!?!

Question: I called them today and I am sending it back for a full refund and they are sending me their prescription for sensitive skin. I can't wear make up and can't put on enough moisturizer. Any advice?

YOU TOO!! I bought Proactive and it worked really good for a week, and then I got the same reaction. My eyes got really swollen, and I got a rash that looked like a sunburn. Then it began itching. It really scared me.
I finnally called PROACTIVE, and they said that their product has SULFUR in it. I am alergic to sulfur, which is what set off my face into such a reaction.

From what I am told, they have the same product without the sulfer, but I chose not to go with it as I started using GARNIER, which has worked well for me.

Don't know if this is what yours is, but I'm told Sulfur can effect a lot of people, esp. with sensitive skin, such as mine.
Hope this answer has helped you some.

In order to get your skin moisterized again I would buy a face cream. Be careful with moisterizers because the will not always help to moisterize you skin, instead they will trap whatever water you have and if you don't have any it wont help. Instead buy a face cream. It will help lots.

It seems that you may have used it too much. I wouldn't use such products unless I really have acne. Or I'm really prone to it. But if what you had was very very little then it was probably too strong.

It's also good to slowly introduce your skin acne products. Because while the directions might say "use twice a day" you might want to lessen the dose. Just be careful.

I hope that this helps.

Certain medicines like this do make some reactions on our skin. So before applying such things on our face or open place, we have to test it on some hidden parts. No one can forecast which medicine to whom makes allergies. Anyhow be cautious next time.
