Chance of Kidney failure? I think not. . .?!

Question: So this is basically a ? for opinions you can say.
So im 17 and dont even drink a half of bottle of the great H2O. I dont know i just dont but i do drink more juice then soda actually i dont drink that much soda probally two or three a month really and i eat pretty well. However my mommy dearest insist that i should drink water at least 4 a day. like thats going to happen i only drink 4 or more bottles when im sick. But yeah my whole rant is on what are the chances of someone as young and "healthy" to grow and have kidney failure just of not drinking the average amount of water.

Depending on climate, you should drink 1.5 lit to 2.5 lit water everyday so kidneys get enough to filter the waste. Again, drinking less water is not going to cause dramatic damage immediately , but in the course of time one may develop stones or infection of the urinary tract. Age itself has effect on the kidney function. So better they should not be put to stress when young. Once you make it a habit, you will not 'have' to drink that much water. You will feel the thirst.
Mum is always right!
Good luck!

Essentially none. If you weren't getting in enough fluids, you'd be thirsty.
