Can HIV-AIDS infect primates as well as humans?!

Question: HIV1 can infect chimpanzees as well as humans, but not most other kinds of primates such as monkeys.

HIV1 infections tend to be milder in chimps than in humans - they don't usually develop the severe immune deficiency that humans do.
