You're not going deaf. It sounds like an ear infection, which is quite common when you have a cold.
Easiest way to clear up an ear infection is to go to the supermarket and buy some hydrogen peroxide (in the aisle with the other health care stuff). Use an eye dropper to put a few drops in the affected ear. It'll pop and fizz like crazy. Leave it in until the fizzing/popping dies right down and then sit up and let it drain out into a tissue or whatever. Do this several times a day for as long as the infection lasts, and then once or twice a week for a couple of weeks afterwards just to make sure the infection doesn't recur.
This works for me every time, and my infections are so bad I can barely walk and the pain keeps me awake for days. If it works for me, it'll work for you :)

You have an ear infection...better make an appt. with your dr.

JUst go buy an decongestant or expectorant. Your ears are clogged due to congestion. If the pain persists, see a doctor because often they turn into an ear infection which in that case you need an antibiotic.

your not going deaf. you've most likey got an ear infection. go to the doctor's and they'll prescribe some medication for you. if you have ear drops then you can put them in your sore ear and then gently put a cotton ball in.

whatever you do dont take ibeprofin....doc said that is bad for the ears....but you might have an ear infection get it fixed soon beucase that can cause the inside of your ear to get scarring and that can lead to hearing loss, my little one had that and it sucks really bad. Go to your dr right away.

go to the doctor, you have an ear infection and need antibiotics
