Allergic reaction for prescribed medicine?!

Question: When this happens, how serious is the problem?

Vomit and Itchy insides is what I am experiencing and I just want to know if I go to the doctor what are they going to do?

And should I miss work? Will this problem last that long to be an issue for a 5 hour work day?

If you are itching after taking a new medication, you need to stop that med and call the doctor that prescribed it and tell him your symptoms. He may give you a new medication to treat your illness. In the meantime, you can take Benadryl to stop the itching. It can take up to 72 hours to clear an allergic reaction to medication from your system so benadryl is needed during that entire time.

Call your MD . It is an allergic reaction and could get worse. Keep Benedryl with you. Work is your call.

don't eat something that you have allergic from it.

you don't mention the medicine but i would suggest you call the pharmacy where you had the prescription filled and speak with the pharmacist. It may be a side effect and not an allergy. There is a big difference. The pharmacist should be able to tell you how to deal with it if it is just a side effect.
Whatever it is you still need to deal with the reason you have been prescribed the medicine.
