Swollen legs, colored and tingly?!

Question: My father is 66 years old and has high blood pressure and kidney deterioration, and has had prolonged sweeling of his legs below his knees and his feet...today he called me and said that he cant walk, his legs are swollen, a black color and it feels like he has pins being stuck through them, I live 7 hours away and can not take him to the dr , i told him it sounds like a circulation problem to get to the dr or hospital but he is so stubborn he just keeps telling me the swelling will go down...Im worried, what could it be? He has a new wife, but she refuses to take him to the dr

Sounds like he has a blockage of the veins or arteries, he really needs to go see a dr. Have his wife call 911 or you should call it for him and tell them where too go..

Your father may need to be admitted. Try talking to his wife and see if you can persuade her to be proactive. In light of his other medical issues, she needs to report this to his doctor ASAP. If necessary, YOU call his doctor and get advice.

if not bad circulation than it could be a blood clot. Can be dangerous, Dr. asap!
