Is excessive sleeping for a Alhizmers patient normal?!

Question: It depends on the individual patient, but it's entirely possible. Does she/he have any other health conditions? Has the person had a recent medical checkup with blood work? What medications is she/he on? Do they sleep throughout the night? What is their age and normal habits?

Many people find that their relatives tend to become more "comatose" as the disease progresses and more severe dementia sets in.

That said, this person needs good medical care like anyone else. This issue may or may not be related. Please discuss this case with the person's doctor, and mention any concerns you have.

Best wishes.

As it tends to be in older people sleeping a lot is normal and may not be due to Alhzimers

My step Dad had Alzheimer and he slept a lot.
