Probably not . . . most everything has some amount of sodium in it. Plus, it's good for you most of the time. You do need sodium in your diet.

no, because saliva has sodium, and sodium is salt, and you have to consume it!!

Sodium is essential to cellular function. There is no way that we could live without any salt. Since this is posted under heart disease, I am assuming you mean 'is life with reduced sodium intake possible". The answer is yes. Most people get WAY to much sodium in their diet. Normal is between 3-6 grams (3000 to 6000 mg) per day. Someone who has heart disease should be consuming 2 to 2.7 grams (2000- to 2700 mg) per day. Avoiding high sodium foods isn't too difficult. Do not eat or prepare meals with canned food. Canned soups are a major culprit of high sodium. If you want soup once in a while, they make reduced sodium soups. Also, canned vegetables and other canned foods are extremely high in salt. Frozen foods are another one to stay away from...especially those frozen meals that you throw in the microwave.... LOADED WITH SODIUM! Parmasean cheese, pickles, lunch meats, barbeque sauce and salad dressings are some others. Some good low sodium foods are fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meats that baked or grilled. Try using other seasonings, like lemon juice to flavor food. Look online or at your local bookstore for low sodium cookbooks and recipies. They teach you how to make your food flavorful without using salt.

Has less taste but it is possible.
