Do cell phones give you brain cancer?!

Question: Not if you wear a tinfoil hat.

Answers: Not if you wear a tinfoil hat.

No. Some people believe that because yoiu are exposed to the waves taht are emitted from cell phones, you will develop brain cancer. There has been no evidence to back them up though.

In a word, no. It's not ionizing radiation and does not penetrate the skin, let alone the skull.

Well yeah, there are studies proven positive for cellphones to produce tumors because of its electric radiation damaging by its abuse. And to inform those who seem to believe they're all conspiracy or just simple theories, there are victims out there so do your homework before denying the problem. No one likes to admit that talking on your cellphone is bad for your health if you abuse it too much. It takes years for it to start showing effects or developing but it is proven.

no, cancer actually originating in the brain is not too common........usually it gets there by spreading...(not always) but yah, cell phones are fine

Hey Hobart Pete (is Pete your first name?). I just did a quick review of the medical research on this subject (using Pubmed to access Medline - where the world's medical research is listed).

Most reviews and meta-analysis studies indicate no or slight increased risk of brain neoplasms with cell phone use of less than 5 years. There may be a greater risk with use over 10 years in duration, but more studies are needed to confirm this.

Most deaths and injuries associated with cell phone use are related to PREVENTABLE automobile accidents. So, to dramatically reduce your risk of harm from the use of cell phones, simply avoid using them while driving!

Best wishes and good luck.
