Scalp redness?!


Question: after showering and washing my hair, my scalp is always itching. when i scratch, there's blood on my fingernails.
it looks like mini-pimples on my scalp but very small.
what is it and how can i treat it?
i know its not lice

I would say you need a different shampoo. What you are using may be a bit harsh. Try using a baby shampoo or baby wash for a few shampoos and see if it clears up. If not, then try a medicated shampoo that is gentle, like T-gel or Denerex. Both stink but are made with coal tar and good for skin and scalp conditions. In any case, rinse your scalp very well when shampooing. A good rule of thumb is if you shampoo for 1 minute, rinse for 2 minutes. A lot of scalp and hair problems are from not rinsing the shampoo out thoroughly .

kind o sounds like soriasis got to your doctor its just a condition thats treatable not curable though

Maybe you are reacting to your shampoo. Do you dye your hair? Zinc oxide is a great ointment for skin problems but if it persists then you should see a Dermatologist.
