Diabetes does not discriminate, Young children right up to adults can have it...Just because you eat alot of sugar doesn't mean you are going to be a diabetic.....It wouldn't hurt you to ease off a bit......Exercise will help you also control sugar....Your eating habits can also.......

refined white sugar basically is not good for you. It will bring on many other problems later in life.(not just diabetes) Refined white food period is not very healthy. This is hard to grasp as a teenager. The best bet is to remember moderation, moderation in all things including moderation.
In other words don't ruin your life with food and drink or worry.
a healthy lifestyle will pay great benefits .

Read myth #3 from the American Diabetes Association website:

http://www.diabetes.org/diabetes-myths.j...

Sugar has nothing to do with it. If you are worried about Type 2 diabetes when you become older, maintain a good weight and get healthy exercise. Sugar itself does not cause any form of diabetes.

okay your not diabetic? then no dont worry your pancreas in your body is doing what it needs to but if you keep it up until your like 40 and obese then you got a prob ahaha

lol u cant get diabetes from eating too much sugar u get type 2 from obesity but type 1 they hav a hunch its genetic

Sugar by itself doesn't cause diabetes. It is the overall way you eat plus how active you are plus your family history that works together to prevent or promote diabetes.

A better question is what should you eat MORE of in order to have a healthy diet that prevents diabetes? The answer is:

--LOTS of Veggies and not just 1-2 kinds...eat a variety of veggies
---Fruits instead of sweets but NOT juice except now and then
---Whole grain foods: whole wheat bread, brown rice, whole grain cereals

And of course stay active with regular exercise.

Just cut down on your sugar intake and you should be ok
