How should i ask my GP for help if i think i have ocd.what shud i say?!
Question: i asked a question recently about if my symptoms sounded like ocd, many answered yes. i am nervous about going to my GP and don't no what i shud say.please can anyone be of help to me?thanx for answering.

you should tell them every symptom u told in your other question. That way they can evaluate you througholy...i dont have OCD but i do have general anxiety disorder and i just went and told my doctor everything i felt esspecially when having a panic attack and he gave me medicine...not that any of it has worked yet...LOL i just asked a question about that myself...i dont know what to do about it!!
Ask to be referred to a psychologist, or try and find one on your own, if you don't want your doctor to know. Depending on what kind of insurance you have, you might have to be referred from your GP.
