here are signs and symptoms:
-fever of 102 degrees or lower
-swollen glands, usually in the neck
-by the second or third day, a rash appears, generallystarting on the face and spreading to the chest and back, then the legs and arms. rash can appear as tiny red or pink spots or irregular blotches, and usualy lasts only a few days
-painful, aching joints, especially in adolescents.
HERES WHAT TO DO:
- keep ur child quiet and comfy, and provide lots of liquids
-give ur child acetaminophen for discomfort. (never give aspirin to a child under 12 who has rebella, flu, chicken pox, or any other illness you suspect of being caused by the virus, such as bad respiratory infection.)
-keep infected child away from ohterchildren, pregnant women, and any susceptable adults. a person with rubella is contagious 2 days bafore and up to one week after the rash appears.
