So I totally had the crap scared outta me!?!
Question: about a week ago, I started having a burning sensation "Down there" and it hurt when I peed or wiped or anything, so I went into the dr.'s and they took a look at it. Said that it may be herpes. I was scared out of my mind, and have been depressed ALL WEEK!!! I finally got the results back from the culture they took, and found out it was negative.
About two days after I saw the dr. and started taking Valtrex, all the symptoms went away. Then I come to find out I don't have herpes.
What else could it have been???

Why not ask the doctor?
Urinary tract infection can be a possibility.
You may want to get tested again in a few months to be sure. The blood test detects antibodies built up to fight the Herpes virus. If you have been infected for only a few days or weeks, the test may come back negative even if you have been infected. It is possible it could have been associated with a yeast infection, BV, or other genital bacterial infections as well.
Well, I ain't no doctor, but it sounds like maybe a yeast infection. Just a guess. Peace!
