Too young to worry about cirrhosis??!
Question: I'm a 28 year old male who during his 20's drank beer heavily, 8-12 a night majority of time, breaks here and there of weeks to months, only beer no hard stuff. Anyways recently (don't know why it has taken so long) have started to be concerned about my liver health. I went to my dr and told him of my excessive intake so he ordered lab workups. Liver enzymers were: ALT 89 (H) AST 35 (N) BILLIRUBIN 1.7 (H) ALK PHOSP 69 (N) ALBUMIN 4.7 (N). Had a CT scan of mid section as had right side pain and liver was noted as normal attenuation.
Are these levels worrysome to the point I have chirrhosis?????? Am I overreacting? I'm very concerned I may have messed up my liver extensively.
I am on metoporol for high blood pressure and prescription grade prilosec along w/ celexa so was thinking that might be raising liver levels as well.
any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Your labs do not look alarming to me (I am an ICU RN) and the fact that your CT was normal means that you are probably being a little too anxious.
Regular check ups with your doctor should provide you with peace of mind. It's good to hear that you have thought about it. So many people drink themselves to death.
