While it's possible that it could make you sick, I highly doubt this is what's doing it to you. Otherwise the whole company would be sick. And, I'll bet that most of the water/soda machines we get our drinks out of in life have dirty soda lines. There's always horror stories on the news about restaurants etc. with them like that.

I had an experience similar to yours. I had bronchitus for what seemed like an almost constant period of time for about 6 months. I was sick all the time, felt like crap in general, and always had a sinus infection with MAJOR blockage, terrible sore throat, and fluid in my lungs.

After months of taking antibiotics on and off and still not getting completely better, finally, my regular doctor sent me to an allergist.

IT CHANGED MY FREAKING LIFE!!!!

The allergist did a skin test where they tested me for about 100 different allergens (they barely prick you with it, and then examine you for your reaction, but honestly I didn't even feel most of them, it's *nothing painful* at all).

The allergist determined that I was severely allergic to several things (like cats, which I have!) She started me on Singulair, Zyrtec and then later I went off of Zyrtec and on to Nasonex (Flonase is good too). You can develop allergies AT ANY STAGE IN YOUR LIFE. I was surprised to find that out. So just because you've never been allergic to anything does not at all mean you'll never be allergic to anything. Apparently we develop allergies when we're regularly exposed to certain allergens (hence my cat allergy). Sometimes we develop allergies for seemingly no reason at all.

Anyway, go to an allergist, based on what you're explaining, I'd bet you the moon that that's what's wrong with you.

As for me, since I started taking allergy meds (and all the meds I described are very mild and usually have no side effects) I have not been sick. I have not had a single episode of bronchitus.

For me, the Singulair helps the most with preventing the fluid/mucus in the lungs (which causes bronchitus), the Zyrtec helped the most in the beginning with getting my sinuses "unblocked," and once they were unblocked the Nasonex or Flonase now helps me keep them that way. If I feel a blocked or stuffy nose coming on I just use the Nasonex or Flonase and I'm good to go.

My other secret weapon is Airborne - it's a vitamin/herbal supplement to take *as soon as you feel a cold coming on.* The moment you feel like crap, just take one. I swear, they are wonderful. They did just settle a lawsuit recently, BUT it was for 'false' advertising, because they could not say that their product does what it in fact really does, because they didn't get it "proved" by the FDA and only had limited clinical trials. But pay no attention to that. The stuff WORKS!!!!

EDIT: Just one more thing ... I totally think it's allergies, but I would recommend getting a full blood test/workup done by your regular doctor just to rule out any weird underlying issues.

so stop drinking from that machine and see if that makes you feel better. it would also help if you take a bath, brushed your teeth (with a new toothbrush!) and change your clothes everyday and cleaned your house with disinfectant like Lysol.

probably not you may have a weak immune system(the system that fights disease)

actually you probably have glaucoma. those sound like the usual symptoms

your imunne system is weak

It could be. That is rather disgusting. Call the health departement in your city, and they will come test whatever's in there to see if it's harmful. Good Luck.

It might. More than likely you need to look at your diet. Take a daily multi-vitamin, eat lots of fruits and veggies and drink lots water (maybe not from the water fountain at work) and get more exercise. I you are stronger and healthier a little fungus won't bother you.

Yes, that's probably true. I would have to ask where has the health dept been in the past 2 years? You might want to inform your doctor of this situation and maybe he/she can be more aggressive with your illnesses. I hope you get feeling better soon.
Have you tho't of suing these people for you medical expenses? They could have killed you with this gross health hazard. Fungus and algae are living organisms. Without knowing which ones exactly, it could still be hard for your doctor to give you the best treatment for a full and quick recovery.

u could sew them !!!!!

r u ok
????

It could have for sure.........take bottled water to work......go see a doctor, you may have fungus infection that can be cured with antifungal tablets........

Perhaps you have an underlying condition that is weakening your immune system. I dont think that you can blame tha water lines in your work but they may have some effect on your health if your drinking what comes out, they need to be cleaned, badly, thats pretty disgusting if its true. You should go and see your doctor.

I think it is relative, seeming as those symptoms werent there before. I would definitely take a sample of that water and have it examined. In the meantime, please see a doctor and brind yourself some bottled water. I dont know why you would drink water from something that is infected with such fungus.
