I woke up this morning with a really sore throat (details)?!
Question: I've made an appointment with the doc for tomorrow morning. This morning my throat/tonsil area is extremely sore, red, swollen, and has puss on it. This is a regular occurance as I have allergies to pollen and dust and it is that time of the year. But later during the day I was examining my throat, and noticed a very raw/bright red patch on my throat. I touched it with a disinfected q-tip and found that it was blood. I'm pretty sure my tonsils are bleeding. Should I be worried, its not a flowing bleed, as an hour later there was no blood just a very raw spot. But I've never had that before and not sure if I should wait for my doc appointment or go to the ER.

Hmm well.. i woke up yesterday with a very sore throat too. but then this morning i wok up and it was fine. soo idk.
