OK, JReb - Obviously, you're worried. This is the third or fourth time you've posted tonight regarding your infection. Often, cellulitis, an infection of the soft tissue under the top layer of skin, results from Staphylococcus aureus, sometimes Staph. epidermidis, two of the normal bacteria that live on the outside of your skin. They don't multiply well in the presence of oxygen, but do really well if you cut off most of their oxygen flow. That's why, when even a small amount of this bacteria gets beneath skin, it grows and makes either cellulitis (a diffuse soft-tissue infection) or an abscess (a sac containing pus). The brownish liquid that's coming out is normal - the medication you got earlier today is working, killing off the infection, and your skin is opening up to help dump the stuff. Don't squeeze it to get more out - some may come out, but more will get squished out under your skin, possibly helping it spread. Keep it covered with a clean, dry bandage - don't use ointment, which will keep oxygen out of the area and help the infection grow. Don't squeeze the area. If the doc prescribed oral antibiotics, take them as directed. No alcohol - that'll disable the effects of the antibiotic. Keep your appointment with the doc tomorrow. And get better! Good luck.

Its hard to say, it could indicate something bad or it could be good. Just to be safe, I would consult a trained nurse or doctor. Call you're local hospital or clinic, there is no need to go in when you can just call.

You have pus draining from your leg. It is better for it to drain if it is in there. If you don't have a fever, intense pain, or general feeling sick, you should be fine till you see your doc tomorrow.
