I detest co-codamol and have been running a campaign against its use for 13 years. It is addictive and constipating, it can also produce headache and abdominal pain and since it is only 5% more potent than paracetamol I have always considered it a waste of space of a drug. It is best avoided and replaced with simple paracetamol, unfortunately this will initially produce irritability due to withdrawal from the codiene.

I think its a side effect, you can get hooked on cocodomol so you may be tweeking a bit.

co- codomol contains codeine which I am allergic too. I get a red rash which really itches and light headiness. Try using something that doesn't contain codeine and see how you are.

please remember co codomal is very addictive i have a friend who got addicted to them(her doctors fault for represcribing them) and now is on other medication to ween her off.

You get side effect when you just start new medications .Your system should be used to them by now Have you eaten anything diff rent recently?

I cant take it at all. I get very very itchy and I hallucinate....see kittens everywhere or devils chasing me...so...I no longer take them...

If taking Codeine based medication you should drink plenty of water to combat headaches and eat plenty of fruit to combat constipation. As for the itchiness, it should diminish as you become more tolerant, unfortunately a higher tolerance can lead to addiction.

Many people can't take co-codomol as their bodily systems can't handle it even if they have been taking it for some-time, different people have different side affects to i, take me for example after taking co-codomol i tend to throw up straight after, i find that taking ibupfrofen is better for me it is much easier on my body.
