Should I go back to the hospital?!

Question: I colapsed my right lung basically by straining during a workout or bowel movement or what ever. The doc said that the colapse inflamed the pleura resulting in effusion, so they puffed the lung up and removed the fluid with a chest tube, and I was on the mend after 4 days in the hospital. Two weeks later I felt good so I exercised with weights even though the doc said no heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks, and in the next day or 2 I started feeling pain in the right side of my chest again. My lung capacity is still good so I'm not concerned that the lung collapsed again, but the pain feels similar to the effusion pain, but not as intense. The pain has persisted for about 5 days now and I can't tell if it's getting better or worse. Go back or wait?

I'd say you at least need to be checked by a doctor. You could have pleuritis, which is an inflammation of the pleura, without (as you've pointed out) having a collapsed lung. I'd say make an appointment and get checked out.

need an xray, wow ,you really work out hard

Don't risk it .see your doc!

I'd call the Drs office or advice nurse to get their opinion....but if in doubt, go back to the Dr.....and stop lifting weights!

vanity before health ??? go seek medical attention asap
