Hi Jay,
Your Hubby's job lends itself to CVD. They're often sedentary, w/brief periods of extreme exertion. That's why departments screen for cardiac trouble, & have regs in place regarding it. Your Doc will want to know symptoms. Swelling frequency & severity. Any shortness of breath, or chest discomfort? During activity, or @rest? If he's suddenly retaining fluid in the lower extremities, plus your Daughter's new Dx. Your Husband has some testing in his future. I'm unaware of Synthroid causing this. Some HTN meds can, though. Good Luck to you all.
