Tell that man of yours to get off his duff and get to a Dr. to have it checked. It could be nothing, but then again it could be trouble. Only way to tell is have it checked out. /:)

Those are the best kind. Enjoy it!

Probably a cyst or a pulled muscle, get to the doctors.

Well he should have it checked just to be sure ... it may be nothing at all and it may be the beginning stages of a serious illness

I know exactly how he is feeling...

Tell him he owes it to your kids to go, - if he won't go for you?

Maybe a hernia of some sort? Although its most likely a cyst of some kind. It may be painless, but I would suggest getting it looked at anyway just to be sure.

OMG! My b/f has a similar thing. He has a bump on his actual rib (left side)...he says it doesn't hurt but seems like a deformity to me (like maybe it was cracked before and healed wrong) or something...I can always feel it if I touch his chest...he hates when I ask him to get it looked at.

If he wont go to the doctor then he is not capable of making decisions for himself. You need to remove that responsibility from him before he gets himself killed.

A painless lump can be very serious. I have a close friend who's painless lump just below his ribs turned out to be melanoma.

I've had them cut out, their hardened fat deposits, there is a clinical name for it...

My boyfriend has one on his waist line. Just a skin color bump. Doesnt hurt. I thought it was a Miskito bump and it would go away but it hasn't. He wont go to the doctors either because it doesn't hurt him.

Im not sure what it is but if you find out let me know! maybe its just normal.

It could be a skin tag or a wart. My b/f had one like that a few years back and I suggested he see the Dr. It turned out to be an odd shaped wart and had it removed.

But you never know. Hopefully he will go see the Dr and have it taken care of.

Could be a "Carbunkle". a build-up of calcium in the body that has for some reason or other picked that particular area to gather in.

i thought thats what you were calling him lol
tell him to get to doctor only he can tell him

This is probably just a cyst. there are a million different kinda, but im not sure which kind your husbands is. My friend has one on her back and.... like in your case.... its just a painless lump. She could have it removed, but doesnt have the time and its not a big deal if she doesnt. but definitely look into it... because it might not be a cyst or it might be a cyst and be dangerous.

-good luck (and sorry i couldnt be of more help.)

There are many things it could be. It may be a lipoma (see the link below). It could be a cyst or abscess and there is no telling its significance without it being evaluated. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If your husband won't go to a doctor he has no one to blame but himself for any preventable adverse consequences.

I don't know what it is but if he won't what it is make a big show of getting extra life insurance out on him I bet you he'll go then

could be a cyst but best to go have it checked by a Dr.

A painless lump, if it goes unchecked can turn into a serious pain in the rump! Get it lump...rump? HaHaHaHaHaHaHa

Def a hernia
