Given the prevalence of celiac disease in your family especially the immediate family, it would be a good idea to get genetic testing done. It can be done at home, sent off and then you will know if you have the genetic component to get celiac disease and maybe be able to avoid it by just avoiding gluten containing products. The reference is the website that does the testing.

You didn't mention if you have any of the characteristic symptoms of this disease. The good news is that it can be controlled with diet by removing all products containing gluten. If you suspect you are at risk, you should see your primary care physician immediately.
