Patch test?!

Question: Hi, I'm allergic to a lot of things ( shrimp, seaseme seeds, metal...) I went to see a doctor, and he suggested me to do a patch test. Does anybody know what a patch test is ? And, does it help ? Btw, I used to scratch a lot when my skin itches, and some areas of my skin turned white, lol, is there anyway to treat it ?

just exactly what John says above. They also determine what kind or amount of shots and how often you will need to get your body to fight off things that you are allergic to. It will make your body immune some things that your allergic. Not a 100 % effective but it helps your allergy to get better.
I use to be allergic a lot of things but I pretty much out grown of them by using shots.
Hope this helps.

in a patch test, the Doctore puts about a hundred different allergine drops on your skin, and then pricks the skin in each drop, to allow the allergine to get under the skin. He then looks for reactions. It doesn't hurt. and may itch just a little.
