What is the cure for lazyness for a child?!

Question: Age old question!!!!!!! Try and find something that is new and exciting that will grab their interest. Don't spoil them- take away the things that make them lazy- ie. video games, tv, dvd's- and do not give them money. Make them get a job, if they are old enough. The key is removing the things that make them lazy- electronics!!!!!! You'll be amazed at the change!

Slave labour.

Motivate them.. with insentives, praise, things like that?

Take privledges away, no television, video games etc, anything that you know the kids likes. He or she doesn't get what they want until you get what you want.

PS....If that doesn't work, try candy!!! (-:

when i was smaller i used to be obsessed with tv, my mom took the tv out the house for 2 weeks (cause my dad needed to watch games haha) and during those 2 weeks i always went to the park or had play dates, when we got the tv back i never watched it, still dont, if its tv then do that if its toys, take the toys away. hope this trick helps.

there is no cure. I know that because I'm lazy, but there is a way in dealing with that, and that is motivation. The way I got motivated back in high school was when I finally got a teacher that actually care about us the students getting the material and opted to challenge us. On the other hand, if you are talking about physical laziness like he does not want to do his or her bed, wash the dishes etc for example you can just don't do his or her bed and wait a few days to see what happens.

depending on how old, bribe them, ill give you a fiver if you wash the car. or cut the grass etc

without more details this is not easy to answer. If you are sure there are no medical reasons for this then I suggest you have them help you do things, and give simple reward, like you'll help them do something they like, as simple as watching a movie or taking a walk. also you can plan something with them and their friends just make it fun. UNPLUG the TV or Games unless you say it is okay The key here is having someone to do something with

Motivation......What size is your boot? It gets them moving!

The problem is not the child it is the parent. The cure is to step up and be a better parent. You want your kid to work teach them how. Kids learn to be lazy from society. Parents needs to over power society. Work on things together show them what work ethic is, show them what the effects of being lazy are. Set a chore/work list for them and if they complete it great (maybe reward them) and if they don't punish them (set an example/precident if need be). You teach a child how to work and you've shown them how to survive in this world. You let them be lazy and you've shown them how to destroy themselves.

Try to get them interested in a sport and go out and play with them. Take away the T.V. and the video games and what do you have left

physical labour
