Could be just a broken hair, If you get more tho, better get them checked out by a doctor.

If STD tests are free in your area then probalary take one, if not then maybe wait and see what happens.
There is no way to know for sure without getting tested. Herpes does not have a one size fits all description. When a doctor gives you a visual diagnosis it is incorrect 70% of the time. If a doctor who is trained to look for the characteristics cannot tell if it is herpes, there is no way for you to know.
The best idea is to get in as soon as possible and have it cultured. You should also follow up with a blood test.
Until the area has totally healed, do not have any sexual activity. Because you have an open sore, you are more likely to contract something. If it is herpes, you are more contagious with an active outbreak.
