Can I use nasonex for sinus congestion if I also use symbicort for asthma?!
Question: Our doctor prescribed the nasonex for my husband when he got sick. Now I have the same cold and I was wondering if I could use it too, instead of making a trip to the physician's office. My husband is prone to ear infections and I am prone to sinusitis when we catch colds. But I was wondering if I can use one inhaled steroid for my sinuses while I already use one for my asthma.

my 4 year old son is on nasonex and symbicort as well so I 'm going to say yes you can take them together. Since my son is taking them I would say that an adult can.
Do not use anything not prescribed exclusively for you, especially since you have asthma. Check with your doctor first. :)
no. DONT!! dont ever take steroids!!
I have used my wifes nasonex for my sinus congestion and it didn't work for squat. What I found works well is saline drops like what you would get for a baby. Gentle on the nose and provides considerable relief.
Yes, you can
the steroid in your asthma medicine is called an inhaled corticosteroid. It only goes in to your lungs
