***Will I get rid of acne, or will my skin just get irritated?***?!

Question: I'm doing to do this when I wake up in the morning, and before I sleep:

-Wash face with Morning Burst from Clean&Clear (this has NO acne medication, it just controls shine and gets rid of make up, oil, and dirt without over-drying skin.)
-immediatley after washing face, put 10% bezoyl peroxide (spot treatment) on areas with acne.

*If it matters, I have "combo" skin, pimples on foreheads, and black heads on and near nose. *

In my experience only certain facial/acne soaps work with my acne, so it depends on what kind of soap you're compatible with if you're going to get rid of the acne or not. I'd reccomend if your "Morning Burst" doesn't make your skin clearer after a couple weeks, try a different brand.

Using the facial cleanser and using the spot treatment twice a day might make your skin really dry and thus getting irritated. If so you might want to just wash your face with the cleanser once a day and use the spot treatment a 2-3 times throughout the day to get rid of oils.

It takes a lot of experimenting with different products, but I'm sure your face will be clear in no time if you find the right ones. Good luck! :D

Oh yeah, one more thing... Watch out for what you eat! Try not to eat too much oily or fried foods. Also, drinking A LOT of water is important. Eat your fruits and vitamins too!

puberty or how eva u spell it, they will go away if you wash you face day and night, most likeyly they wil lgo away wen u r older.

my sister had really bad acne! she started you useing pro-active and it really helped her!! it made her skin alot better, so i suggest pro- active to you:-)

hope i helped good luck!

You should try drinking alot of water and eating foods that contain lots of vitamin A and C. This will flush out the toxins in the body that are coming through the skin and also heal any blemishes.

You could try seeing a dermatologist. Nothing ever worked for me either (combo skin is the pits. No pun intended... Ew, that's a gross pun now that I think about it.) until I got a prescription for tetracycline pills.

If you get regular tetracycline, not the name brand crazy expensive stuff, it's only around $25 for a month supply. Your family doctor can also prescribe these, so you could ask him/her on your next check-up.

well the Clean and Clear is still a good solution for your acne. the 10% bp is a little iffy.

i have sensitive skin and 10% bp seemed like it was working at first for me, and then it completely made my face break out into boils. yeah, that was junior year of highschool...good times. for 1 week i told everyone i had an allergic reaction.

if your skin is oily, then the 10% i guess is okay. make sure to moisturize either way with an oil free moisturizure or moisturizing lotion! if you don't your skin can get very red and flaky after a while.

i think you'll be fine though. the blackheads may stay though. blackheads are stubborn and evil. biore strips worked for me.

good luck.

i'd agree, just visit a dermatologist and ask them what is the cause of your acne. then you can figure out whether over the counter products will help or not. if not, you'll just be wasting effort and money.

it'll all go away eventually naturally what you're doing at the moment is fine but someskin treatments react with others causing irritation it's better to use natural exfoliation products like alo vera and just hot water, those sorts of things will work witout many risks of irritation.
what you mustn't do is pop white heads or scratch any spots as it will cause facial scars.
