My friend just got diagnosed with genital herpes?!

Question: im reading up on genital herpes for her, and i wanted to know a few things, can you still recieve oral sex without giving it to your partner. and during the latent stage it says the virus can go to your body fluids [saliva vaginal fluids ect.] does that mean you can pass the STD by kissing someone?

if she doesn't have an outbreak at the time the chances are lowered of giving it to her partner and lowered again if she is taking medication regularally. if the outbreak is healing or going into dormancy again then they can still pass it on but the chances are lower. u can't give genital herpes to someone by kissing them on the mouth. they would have to have the oral kind (cold sores) as well. however if someone gives them oral sex it can be passed onto them if the person giving does not have herpes.
