Air purifier for allergies?!

From what I have read the Ionizers work well, but others work better for the actual allergens. I have two ionic breeze air cleaners and like them because they do remove some pet dander and have that germicidal protections that removes bacteria and such from the air . I like them and I can tell when I clean the grid that they are working. My house is over 2100 square feet and LONG, so I have one in the family room in one end of the house and the other is in my bedroom at the other end. They clean the air and also remove harmful ground dwelling ozone. I think they are on sale. I am not so familiar with the type kitty needs for allergies. My brother in law has the filtration kind and he's allergic to their dog, cat and ferrets and he said he doesn't have to take medication. It's a large unit, but works wonders.
What is kitty allergic too? I'd also try a food with NO GRAIN in it or at least without wheat and corn and see if that helps. Many dogs and cats are allergic to the wheat and corn they use as fillers. My three babies eat Evo no grain, and are healthy, no skin allergies at all. Leopold tends to have a sensitive digestive system. Wheat and corn have also been shown to be a leading cause in digestive disorders and obesity among cats and dogs. Evo also makes other diets with grain such and rice and barley, which have not been shown to cause such allergic reactions in our babies. Since they are much lower in fillers and higher in meat protein you feed less. It's more money, but since you feed less and have healthier cats and dogs, It's worth it. Hope this helps a little.
What a nice Mom you are to your kitty. I would get one that is a ionizer. They clean the air coming thru it and release fresh air back into the air via negative air system. They do not have a filter but a metal grid that can be cleaned often with a damp rag. Air purifiers usually have a paper type filter that has to be replaced monthly and are pricey. I have ionizers in my home for my asthma and they work great. Many brands to pick from and range in prices also.
Have you checked to see if your cat could get some medicine for the allergies?

Vacuum instead of sweeping. Keep air conditioner filters clean, get some medicine for your cat. Yes some sort of air cleaner will help and should help some. There is a Hyla vacuum cleaner that u put water in and it also works as an air purifier.
