i duno, its cheap and taste good, and as far as a know its good for you too. if your going to worry about everything giving you cancer, then you might as well "pack up the show and leave nothing". dont worry about these things.

Thats an interesting question, if you want to be technical, just about anything can give you cancer, its basically a judgement of how likely something is do actually effect you. So I guess it is possible

I don't think tea (especially if its organically grown) can cause cancer. Antioxidants protect your cells from damage so a tea that is naturally high in these phytonutrients would be very healthy for you to drink in moderation. It also has natural flouride and protects teeth, lowers blood pressure and prevents Type II Diabetes. Green Tea is great for your overall health, just don't drink the caffeinated one before bed, as it can keep you up. It does come decaffeinated for those who like a cup before bed.

green tea prevents cancer. antioxidants destroy free radicals from toxins in our bodies. free radicals have been known to cause cancer.

antioxidants are really good for you.

I would doubt that pure natural tea would cause cancer, unless consumed in excessive quantities.

While, I would think that sprinkled with pesticides and synthetic ingredients and synthetic and artificial flavors would be quite likely to cause cancer. The body gets confused by them, and sometimes they block the natural thing it's looking for.

It's like the study about carrots. People who eat many carrots (Natural) have a lower incident of cancer, but when you give people synthetic beta carotene (Synthetic) their cancer goes up.

Summary: "In the eight-year follow-up period, the participants taking beta-carotene experienced 7 percent higher overall mortality than men on the placebo."

So I would enjoy natural tea, but avoid those 'instant' teas, and things like 'lipton.' etc. Who knows how much real tea you would be getting.
