HIV and AIDS?!

Question: Do you think there will ever be a cure?

Answers: Do you think there will ever be a cure?

hopefully yes. A vaccine is going to be more difficult as every time the virus replicates the shape of the protein coat changes so any anti-bodies produced won't work against it.

well Iran invented one.

NO,the only way to cure it is to kill everybody that has it so it no longer exists.
Aquired immuno difficiency syndrome is a virus that can only be transmitted by blood on blood contact !

The 3 main ways of catching it are unprotected sex and used needles from injecting drugs and deliberate transmission!

Dont have unprotected sex dont use needles to take drugs and dont go anywhere near sombody that has a.i.d.s or h.i.v.You can get a.i.d.s after catching h.i.v

I personally don't think so though. If someone will, the virus might probably evolve into something much worse... Then again, by the time that happens something worse will develop.

I hope a cure is never found.

Look, HIV and AIDS is Nature's way of punishing whores and sluts (male AND female). Just like Global warming is Nature's Cry for Help. We need to stop screwing each other (in ALL meanings of the word).

Jocks and players were hooking up with high school cheerleader whores while Nice Guys like me were doing homework and making straight As. I hope HIV and AIDS kills all those jocks and cheerleaders. I hope it kills the whole lot of them.

No. HIV hides in the infected persons DNA. There is currently no known way to remove an integrated virus or provirus from DNA. There is no known evolved biological way to do this either. Neither man or nature can do this. Avoid getting infected.

No it's not possible. It's a virus, so far we have never cured any viral strains. So because it's adaptive it isn't curable with science as we now know it. The best case scenario is a permanent remission through taking meds.

When you look at how long we have known about HIV, 25-26 years, and how "tricky" the disease is, it is very difficult to find a cure. The University I work for is in the research stage, and even if they find one, there is at least 5 years of trials to see how it works.

Also look at cancer, that has been around for a lot longer and they are still working on "cures" and preventive options.

look at how far medicine has came in the past 20 years, im optimistic there will be a cure in the future for it.. people can live a healthy life with HIV it doesnt hold the life sentence it did 20 years ago due to breakthrough in drugs. so if we came this far, think 20 years from now. i hope they find a cure its an nasty virus.
