It is the H5 NI Strain of the Virus, and it is mainly People Handling the Birds and Rearing them that have been Infected. It is supposed to be Safe when Cooked to eat. It is mostly confined to Asia the Far East and China where some People have died.Though it has turned up on the European Continent in a few Migratory Birds, in Germany and France a couple of Birds have been Found with it.In 1918 there was a Flu Epidemic that killed many Thousands of People Worldwide, Spread by Bird flu that jumped Species and Infected Humans . It Originally came from the Far East and Gradually Spread to Europe.AS you can Imagine things were slightly more Primitive then after the First World War and they had no Proper Controls and Monitoring like they have now. By the time they found out about the Bird Flu it had already caused Thousands of Deaths.

hn51 (i think) strain is the one infectious to humans
