It is spread by both touch as via inanimate objects. Go for scrupulous hand washing and ensure different towels and flannels are used. Conjunctivitis is a superficial infection and never really damages the eye, it settles almost as quickly when managed with frequent simple cleansing as it does with antibiotic ointment or drops.

It passes on through touch. Discourage your daughter from rubbing her eye, and make her wash her hands afterwards if she does.

Make sure she doesn't share her towel, flannel or pillow with anyone else while she has it. It is passed through touch.

Using the same flannel / towel will pass it on. It is very contagious and you would be best them using their own towels etc.

It is extremely cotagious and is passed on by contact, so if your daughter wipes her eyes then touches the other children they may get it, it can also be passed on by sharing towels, bedding etc, It is very hard to stop other children in the house getting it, just try and be extra careful and watch for signs in the other two
