YES!!
I am addicted to both Diet Coke and Pepsi Max...especially since I got Diabetes!!

I dont know what it is, but I just love them!

At least theres two of us eh?!?!lol!!

nope - I try to only have 1 soda a week

so I drink water and tea - - -

time to go cold turkey - Q U I T !
if you notice - having one soda
makes you thirsty, again, for another

Great Marketing ploy

all the best

You're laughing but it's no joke. Diet coke or anything like that isn't good for you. Try to switch to something like Crystal Light, or better yet, make your own lemon aid or green tea (hot or cold) and use Splenda to sweeten it up. Even just water with some lemon in it is good.

When I was diagnosed as a diabetic, I took it seriously and didn't drink that junk stuff. You don't need it. You need to eat healthy, because the complications of diabetes isn't funny.

Hey they haven't fully proved the brain tumours thing yet!!

Yeh I am somewhat addicted to Diet Coke, I was really addicted when I was a bit younger a mate and I used to drink at least a dozen cans each when we had girls nights!! Quite crazy and I felt so sick the next day from dehydration and stomach aches!! haha good times!!

No i never became addicted to any thing when i was diagnosed with diabetes.I simply cut back on bad foods that were doing me alot of harm! Why do we drink this stuff and make Pepsi and Coke rich? Because we like the taste!. We dont stop and think what it is doing to our body!If you drink a lot of water you will be much cleaner inside. You will feel better and it will not cause diabetes!

Given the limitations in "free" (ie, carb free) drinks, I guess I don't see the same evil in diet soda that everyone else does. I do choose caffeine free diet soda though, to minimize the crap that it contains. We also have a cupboard full of Crystal light varieties.

I choose my battles. Gina's 5 and I never gave her soda, except on special occasions. I let her have caffeine free diet soda now, more than I used to, because she doesn't have as many choices as before. Raising a 5 year old diabetic in a home with three non-diabetic siblings is no picnic. So that's not really a hill I want to die on. I suppose I'll get thumbed for that, but I got big shoulders. I can take it. I think we'd all be surprised at how many actually walk the walk.

I save my intervention for more important things like pushing a protein snack at bedtime, or detering her from juice when she's high. How many five year olds do you know who like salad?! I'm so proud of that/her. THAT's where I sink my energy.

i like a variety of drinks. but i tend to go more diet pepsi then coke. i also like diet mountain dew and sugar free amps. i know they cant be good for you, but i was just told i have diabeties over a month ago and its the closest to the real thing that im gunna get lol.

Yep, Diet Coke for me! And when I was diagnosed in '84, aspartame was new and so in demand that they had to blend it with the old saccharin, so I was so happy when it finally went to 100% aspartame! I've had so much that if there was anything wrong with it, I would have keeled over years ago. Don't believe the brain tumor stuff...it's been going around since the 80's and it's a crock.
