Hep c is that really dangerous?!

Question: in wat way wen did u get this?

Answers: in wat way wen did u get this?

HCV is transfersed through blood only. only about 1% get it sexually and than than that give it to there offspring. it is fatal. most do not know they have it until it is too late and the damage is done. if you catch it early enough or do not get it until you are in your 40s you probably will not die from it while living a healthy life style. i have had it since birth and will probably die from it but i still have many yrs ahead of me. it is a slow progressing desease. it can be treated in SOME case with interferon combination therapy which is a 48 wk treatment of 1 shot a wk and 4-8 pills a day. (is basically Chemo and it sucks!) it does not work for everyone, yet some have been in remission for yrs. some cannot take it at all b/c there liver damage is too bad or other reasons. most only try it 2, if it does not work the first time, it probably is not going to doo well the 2nd but it is worth a shot and some take that risk. hope this helps and god bless.

i think it can actually kill u after like 8 years... im not sure tho

It can be fatal - but it can also be treated and managed - not cured, but managed with medication, diet, and lifestyle changes (no alcohol).

Transmission of hepatitis C occurs primarily from contact with infected blood, but can also occur from sexual contact or from an infected mother to her baby. Blood transfusions prior to 1992 and the use of shared needles are other significant causes of the spread of hepatitis C.

There is no vaccine for hepatitis C. Persons who are at risk should be checked regularly for hepatitis C. Persons who have hepatitis C should be monitored closely for signs of chronic hepatitis and liver failure;-

Hep C can be treated by not cured with Interferion. The treatments are not very pleasant but can help. Many people with Hep C will require a liver transplant as the damage done is too great for recovery. This is a very serious disease one that frequently does not have a good outcome.

I got it through a tattoo that a "friend" gave me. It is dangerous but you can still live with it. It does not kill you after 8 years most people die having it not of it. It can cause major liver problems and other health issues.

yes it is if you have it but it won't kill you until many years later until then they give you all the drugs and pills they can to pro long your life while you are still alive because my uncle has it and he only has 12 more years to live with it before he dies from it .

My father has been living with hep c for decades, and he's fine. you can only contract it through blood to blood contact.
