Could I have HIV/AIDS?!

Question: Okay, I was at my friends 21st and there was a fight outside(apparently one guy got hit over the head with a bottle?!).

I didn't know it was happeneing and carried on partying.
Later I was going outside to find a friend and put my hand against the front door, I felt something wet but thought it was glue(from the decorations-I had decorated the hall earlier)and as I did it my friend saw me, so I chatted to him and scratched my nose with the ''wet hand''. When I walked away from my friend I happened to see what I had touched on the door and it was a small'puddle'of blood (prob from the fight earlier).
I ran to the bathroom and washed my hands twice, then realised that I had scratched my nose and it ahd been close to my face(it really freacked me out) but luckily the blood only went onto the bottom part oh my hand(not my fingers/fingertips, although I never actually saw the blood on my hands, only on the door)I dn't think anythng touchd my mouth/nose bt its still scary to think of

I keep wondering if any might have ''splashed'' onto my moth/nose when I scratched my nose! I want to go for a test, but I think you have to wait 2 weeks for it to show?

Also I'm white and live in SA so it makes it a bit more scary as the amount of people with Aids/HIV is much higher.

I think it was my friends cousins who were fighting, but I can't be sure-either way I think it was people at the party(ie not random people from outside)

HIV/AIDS dies the moment it touches the air. I can see why you're woried about it, but don't be. It's fine. If it would make you feel better, go get tested. Best of luck! Don't worry too much about it!

I thnk aids has to be direct contact to the blood...meaning the blood couldnt have been sitting around like that to pass it.

NO

Go the your local Health Department or Health Agency to get tested for free.
You never really know who had Hiv/aids
God Bless you

You could have HIV, better get checked. Dont worry about AIDS it is not the same thing as HIV. AIDS is when your Immune system breaks down completely. Most HIV positive people in developed countries never get AIDS.
